We have been praying for Samuel since he was a little boy. Now we will pray that the Lord uses his great abilities and that Samuel will remain focused on the Lord. It has been an amazing journey and faith building for all who have watched. You and Jeff have done a wonderful job with this your "other" son.
Additionally amazing is to see photos on your blog.
I love feeling angels sing. Your post was beautiful, and I read Samuel's story. You did an amazing job on putting it into words. Also thank you for your encouragement to endure, even though that was not your goal. I have been pretty sick since we arrived in Mexico. It comes and goes, but it seems to come more than go. And often I don't even know what IT is. I have had typhoid(although I had a vaccine for this before we came), salmonella, and strep. I am struggling with something now and I am unsure what. It isn't anything life threatening, just enough to make me feel exhausted, some pain and really short amount of patience with my biggest ministry..my kids and husband. I see God doing AMAZING things. I have had to embrace the fact that I may not get better than this, and that makes me sad. It was really encouraging to read your blog. We pray for you. I wish beaming (star trek style) were possible and we could have evening chats at the dinner table after the kids were in bed. I do enjoy the internet blog thing. AmyG
What great pictures!! He has grown so much since you first met him and I'm extremely thankful that God dropped you off into his life at just the right time. What a good thing to celebrate!!
The first thing to jump out on me is the smile on his face in the first picture. It goes to show that Samuel has joy in his heart despite his circumstances.
Its moments like these that make the other stuff worth while. Praise GOd!!
