Glory!

It is with great joy and celebration that I announce to you dear blog friends...

"I have completed my family's laundry in my working washer and dryer."

If you are curious as to why this is news...see the previous post.

I don't know what happened, but I'm pretty sure about Who...

We did nothing but pray. Jeff had worked and reset to absolutely no avail when we discovered the problem over a week ago. The machines would not operate. And there was a burning smell...which is never good.

When we got back I waited before facing what I thought was the inevitable. I tried the dryer first...then the washer...and now about 8 loads later...the gentle whir and tumble of my beloved friends fills my heart with praise.

Doing laundry never felt so good...

Yes, He is good. He may let us get to the brink of despair, but then He rescues us in ways that bring Him all the glory!

Love you!

Hi Cheryl! I've just read your last few posts and am praising God for your sweet heart turned towards the Lord. I can relate to appliances being fried by electricity and the joy and gratefulness in my heart when one is fixed or a new one supplied, especially after months and years of doing without. God is sweet and gracious and I'm so glad he is being so loving to you and your family. I loved your entry about your daughter's baptism. I can't wait to meet your children someday when we are in Rwanda. I hope our children will be friends. May God bless you as you labor and do not grow weary in doing good. May God supply all of the strength you need and be gracious to give you a continual supply of love and joy to extend to others. In His Love, Becky

I love reading one blog and then going to the next with you and Jeff. It is like slowing life down to "see" how God is working in the lives of others you care about. Praise Him.
