This week I'm going to do something rare and a bit unsettling...
I'm going on a trip by myself.
Actually, I will be with 40-50 other women...
All of us set to talk, laugh, learn, study, pray and seek...
But, as I pack ONE bag and ONE lunch...
And prepare, this evening for my journey...
I feel a strange set of feelings...
Please pray for our travels...there are alot of mommies, teachers, wives, fiances, girlfriends and sisters traveling for this retreat. Pray for travel mercies and safety.
Please also pray for my precious ones who will wait at home. And the Super Dad who will be holding down the fort while I'm away.
I'll let you know how everything goes...

You go, girl! Have fun!
Hey Cheryl, it's Jill Moudy! I read your blog often and it takes me back to Africa. I can envision you all now at Ladies Retreat - what a special time - some of my favorite memories ever. We love you guys and have deep love and appreciation for what you do there. We are so glad you are FINALLY getting teammates!!! Praise God!
Dear Cheryl,
What sweet sweet fellowship we had at those retreats. Of course, this one will be a little different, but I know just as rich, as you meet with the Come Before Winter team. I was asked to be a prayer warrior for one of the leaders on the retreat and consider it a privilege to do so. I wish I could be there in person, but know I am with you in spirit.
Grace and peace, Diane
I am looking so forward to hearing about your week. I keep checking the blog in anticipation. I pray it was a refreshing time of renewal!
Peace,
Jen
Cheryl, I loved sharing time with you this last week. I didn't feel quite finished visiting with you though - ha! That's definitely one of my sweet anticipations about heaven - no time limitations! Blessing, my new friend!
Hey Cheryl! I am back online and in blog world! I am eagerly awaiting your next post! I am so thankful for our time together last week! Blessings dear friend,
Kelly
Sweet Cheryl,
Last week was just tremendous...a true glimpse of the blessed joy and unity that awaits us...one of the ways my joy was made complete last week was time spent with you! Finally getting to put a face with one I had to come to love through stories told and heart shared through of all things...blogs!!! God is just amazing how He chooses to draw together His children that need each other and pour His blessing.
I trust your reunion was sweet...looking forward to reading words from you soon...blessing...suzyj
Hi there --
I'm just starting a blog and wanted to call it "gently led" -- and then got curious to see who took it! I'm glad I looked.
I've never been to Uganda but I have friends who have and a seminary friend from UCU. Praise God for the work you're doing there.
I'm glad to check out your site. God bless you! Kristi
Cheryl,
Hope it was as wonderful as the Continent retreat I went to just a few weeks ago! I am remembering right now the retreat in Kenya I was able to be at with you my senior year - short sheeting the bed and other practical jokes!
